Chief Complaint: Thyroid Nodule

a. History: Rapid nodule growth or hoarseness ought to be elicited, though the majority of thyroid nodules are asymptomatic.   Physical examination should evaluate for the presence of a palpable, fixed nodule and cervical lymphadenopathy, although only 4% to 7% of patients have palpable nodules.
